The documentary interviews his past survivors and how they survived the R&B singer’s abuse. The 6-part docu-series goes deep into Kelly’s accusations and singer’s family members, former friends, past colleagues, musicians and female survivors are all interviewed in the series. John Legend and Sparkles are a few of the musicians to be extensively interviewed for the series. In 2002 video surfaced of Kelly allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old. Kelly and the woman denied the video and he was never charged. In 2008, Kelly was found not guilty on 21 counts of child pornography. In July 2017, BuzzFeed reported that Kelly at captured and imprisoned women at his Chicago and Georgia properties. These women allegedly have to fulfill him sexually and are punished if they break his rules. After this report, many people canceled Kelly amidst the MeToo era. In the sixth and final episode of the docuseries ties up the R&B singer’s abuse and ties it into the Me Too era. Surviving R.
